Hi all.

Last week I installed a new motherboard for my PC. I used to use an Intel i850 mobo, now I'm using an Aopen with i845PE chipset.

I used to download the photos I took with my 7650 to my PC with the Nokia PC suite software via USB. This used to work flawlessly.

But now with this new mobo and PC being completely re-installed with win2000, that PC suit software refuses to run correctly.
Everything from the software works except -you guessed it- the file transfer for photos. When I click on "file transfer for images" the program just freezes. Well it doesn't freeze (at least not according to my program manager), but the hourglass remains there indefinitely. I have to close the program with the three-finger-salute. (then the program manager says the program doesn't react anymore and will be closed down)

I used to do this via infrared, so I thought the problem might have been that this new mobo uses USB 2.0 ports instead of USB 1.1. For this reason I also purchased a Blluetooth dongle : same problem. (which makes me believe it's this POS software that Nokia provides with the phone that is the culprit)

I know some users of this board are using this phone too. Do you guys have any idea what the problem might be? Nokia support was -surprise surprise- about as helpful as a sledgehammer would be. The guy on the phone insisted that for a PC I had to email the photo's to myself OR have a laptop with infrared or Bluetooth enabled. When I replied I have both infrared and Bluetooth for my PC he said : "yeah, but those are USB dongles, those won't work". When I said they've worked for 3 months he still insisted that they didn't work. Talk about braindead. So I gave up the idea of the Nokia helpdesk there and then.
