Maybe they think we print those harmonized codes on there just to look pretty.. :)

They certainly don't use them to figure out how much duty should be paid. I spoke to two people (one a customs broker, and one from TNT) and neither of them seemed to think that the harmonised code was any use for classifying the product. I think it got classified eventually as a "computer weighing less than ten kilograms consisting of CPU, display and keyboard". I said it sort of had a wireless keyboard, and it certainly had a CPU and display. It definitely didn't take CDs or tapes, which ruled it out of some other categories.
