I do have a question about normalization in Audio Catalyst. In its' normalize option, it says "Normalize to [a percentage]" and then says "but only if the track is lower than [a percentage] or higher than [a percentage]"

Does that "lower than" have anything to do with bringing the noise floor up? These are the setting that confused me as to how voladj would help. It SOUNDS (from reading the options) like it's bringing the noise floor up and the peak back down. Is this not the case? If this *is* the case, isn't this what you just described, except that voladj does it in real-time? Perhaps there's more going on than only this in voladj, but that's the BASIC (not to diminish the work on it!) piece, isn't it?
