I am a firm believer that all car stereo wiring should be carefully soldered and shrink-tubed (note: not just wrapped in tape because that comes undone, too). If you're not prepared to solder and shrink-tube the wiring connections on your car stereo installation, it's time to hire a professional to do the job. Period.

I feel dumb.. I paid high dollars ($500) for a pro shop to do my install and they only crimped them.. I feel like taking it back and making them do it right.. they even missed two speaker the front ones.. although they did the dash just not the door speakers. And this is an IASCA shop. Someday soon I'll post pictures and a long rightup about installing an empeg in a SAAB... not an easy thing for me or the pro shop... but they could have at least soldered and shrink tubed the connections for $500.. thats nearly half the cost of the empeg.
