You're incorrect about the Dension adapter. You can browse from the HU or from your steering wheel controls (if your car is so equipped). I've read about it and I've seen it demonstrated in person.

Similar to the BMW adapter that Apple and BMW released. You can stuff the iPod in your glove box if you wanted to.
