Oh, but IBM T221, its 22.2 inches seems so small now. When my 8 year old 21" Nokia 445xpro CRT dies, replacement is going to be a tough decicion.

Still, hands down, the most important computer component is the monitor, and thus deserves the biggest budget. If anyone feels bad about the price of an excelent monitor, just consider that women blow that much on handbags multiple times a season. <grumble> damn having to list my sister's unwanted handbags on ebay </grumble>
