Ah. I'll bet you didn't install the developer 2.0 version of the player firmware. You installed the consumer version, so pressing Ctrl-C didn't drop you back to a bash prompt. Sorry, we should have told you that.

Install the developer 2.0 version of the player firmware, Search the FAQ for "Hyperterminal" and use the instructions therein to get us a full boot log. The one you posted above wasn't complete.

Mark, I don't believe his problem has anything to do with zero tunes or zero playlists. Emplode should work fine in that state.
