All of the statements I made in
this thread over a year ago still stand.
In other recent thread, there was a link to an audio news site that had some relevant information. It was about how certain CD-R drives
can read these copy protected discs, and it described one user who did precisely that: Duplicated the disc on a friend's compatible drive.
I stand by my original statement. This copy protection scheme will produce the exact opposite effect of what the record companies intended. The copy-protected albums will be traded more vigorously on the internet than the regular albums, precisely because of the protection.
