Hm. Looking at the old hard drive (connected as Master) maybe I'm wrong about that file. Maybe it wasn't a fixed copy of the file, but rather, a customized version of the file that I don't need any more. If that's the case, I don't need to make the copy. And now, I'm not even seeing the error message "mount: can't find /drive1 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab" any more, so I think I'm probably done here actually with nothing left to do.
