It sounds to me like the FIDs were imported in "Explorer order" (you dragged a group-selected set of files from explorer onto Emplode and synched), but later you re-ordered the album within that playlist so that it was correct.

At this point, the playlist has it correct, but the "soup" selection (which is essentially the result of the search operation) has it in the incorrect FID order.

Either that or the search result is playing them in alphabetical order.
