Not really ads, but special features, or whatever you want to call them. Either way, they don't bother me, and sometimes they are interesting, you don't have to look at them if you don't want to. Unless I'm talking about something different....I don't think so though.

I notice they're there, but never have time to bother. I'm something like 70 hours behind, and I have a long way to go and not enough hours in the day to watch it all.

Oh no, they don't bother me either. I really didn't see what the big deal was. It's just sitting there taking up empty space in the Tivo menu anyway (I have seen it on my parent's Tivo). I think the fear is that the ads will get worse over time.
