I recently bought an empeg (new in the box - and it was sealed with the Rio label above the brown tape so I'm assuming that it was a virgin box until I opened it) and I was wondering if I could register it officially somewhere. and how do I do this? And how do I get the warranty to turn on?

I'm not used to registering my stuff, but I think that the empeg is worth the effort. I just don't know where to start.

Your warranty clock will already be ticking. IIRC the warranty is given by the original Sonicblue invoice under which your player was originally purchased.

If you don't have this you probably can't prove you have any warranty and would need to speak with whoever you purchased the player from to get a copy of the original invoice.

How long were you pondering the purchase?

I've been looking at (lusting for) the empeg since before 1998. Unfortunately, I didn't have the cash or credit to get it. Now that I've got it, I haven't been doing anything else
