You guys crack me up! The first round of pricing was competitive with the other prices posted. I showed my supplier the pricing that needed to be beaten. I was supposed to have the pricing e-mailed to me yesterday and I will follow up today.

No problem (with me). You recovered nicely. It is just considered poor etiquette to sell things in someone else's post. Starting a new thread is best.

I didn't realize that this was somone selling from his own business... I thought group buy was a bunch of memebers getting together to get a better price, didn't know it was someones business till I read some other posts about the original poster selling EMPEGS as well...my bad... I made a new thread.

No problem. If you have a better price and good service, you should get the business. I will have my pricing up this week.

I'm trying to get better prices on these drives but all of my sources are on their 2nd or 3rd round of quotes. Unless something comes up, the prices I have will be no better than the prices that can be found elsewhere on the internet.

for latest IBM Travelstar drives.
Then I just paste the "Model Number" e.g. IC25T060ATCS05
into www.pricewatch.com.
That usually finds the lowest price out there.

If you like www.pricewatch.com, you might want to use www.pricegrabber.com as well, they offer a similar service. All I can tell you is buyer beware... there are a lot of shady people that have "one time buys" and "must call on phone and specifically state pricewatch price". Also watch because some items are refurbs.

It is nearly impossible to beat Googlegears prices. They can actually sell some items at a loss to steal business from other people. I don't understand why they do that because most people who "look for the lowest price" aren't going to stay loyal to Googlegear if the can find something cheaper at another site. Googlegear kinda reminds me of Walmart...

I noticed you can buy 20 packs of the drives for a bit cheaper... group buy? not worth all that to save 7 bucks or whatever.
