Anybody with a 98/99 Durango tell me where the factory amplifier is? Tod? You out there? I got the same stock stereo you had.

Can't tell you where it is. Never had to find it, sorry.

But when you DO find out, I'd like to know.

Hey Tod, do you think it's possible that I don't have a factory amplifier, while still having the same deck as you?

I've looked at your pictures, and the deck we have is the same, but my stereo really doesn't even seem that loud when cranking it up, just sounds like a normal stock stereo like the one in my sister's accord, nothing crazy, i guess. I don't have any controls like volume or tuner on my steering wheel, that I thinik you might have.

Is it possible the amps are mounted on the backs of the factory speakers? I recall that being mentioned on a Dodge RAM list I used to be on a few years back. Chrysler, the makers of 1.5 DINs and speakers with amps on them...
