Sorry, what is a 'wholesale list'?

A list of wholsesalers so you can supposefully get things cheap, but as you can tell these things are never worth it, and this guy has to cover his up as a player with some fine print to sell them. I just think its wrong personally

That's taking the piss big-time. Ebay has to start cracking down on people about this - I have no problem with people selling wholesale lists if they are upfront about it, but this is a list disguised as an expensive bit of kit, with barely enough truth to legally cover his ass.

I agree. I've never been burned on ebay, but I keep waiting for it. There needs to be something done about this!

Someone should e-mail Crutchfield about this auction, the slime is using an image directly linked off of Crutchfield's site. They could replace the big picture with a warning about the auction.

I was on EBay today, and I saw an auction that was using pictures from your website, and directly linking from your servers, stealing your bandwidth. You might want to do somthing about this, here's one of the worst offenders.

He's not even selling that product, he's selling a list of wholesalers if you read the fine print.

Check your referal logs for other offenders, and I'd recomend blocking requests for pictures from e-bay.

That is just wrong. I remember someone mentioning an idea before, that ebay should have a forum thread for each auction item so people could discuss it. That would help stop theives like this from decieving people. This reminds me of the incident where someone sold a playstation 2 BOX for like $300 on ebay.

I sent a message to the seller, and reported it to ebay. It's the kind of thing that makes me not use ebay any more... (Besides the fact that it's now just a sea of people selling new stuff for the retail price) I'll stick to craigslist for all my cheap seccond hand computer crap.

Read the fine print at the very bottom of the description: what you are bidding on is a list of wholesale suppliers where you can purchase this piece of equipment.

Yeah but the buyer had glasses and zero feedback so I am guessing he either made a user to bid on his own item or someone did that just to screw the jerk over.

All of his "DVD" auctions are now gone, and the one I had posted that ended up going to $1000 before that bid was retracted was "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."

He'd started up 2 more on the "DVD" front, but they vanished...However if you want a wholesale list for clothing, he's selling a few of those. Those listing do properly state the fact it's a wholesale list in the description(but not the title).

Scum, needs to be taken out back and beat with a clue by four until he gets one.

Yeah, I reported that one yesterday....catalogs are prohibited items in ebay . I also pointed out the obvious attempt to mislead buyers.

Im glad that something took care of his DVD auctions, now the guy is trying to sell wholesale lists for fashion designers, but he is being more upfront about it. I think they should ban all selling of these things, they are always a scam
