I fully realise that, and only bought it to keep me going until I got my hands on a Pearl.

And I don't suppose there is any chance of getting a copy of the Riot protocol so I could create a little app for downloading that is less suck ass than what we already have, just to tide us over until MM2 arrives? I could get the CATC out and try and reverse engineer it, but after just doing that with the USB network adapter I fancy just some straight coding.

I hope you cut-price-Riot purchasers realise you're going to have to buy another player in a few months. How will you be able to resist a hard disk portable which builds from the same code base as your car player?
