And it would run linux on clustered processors, while controlling all your base.

Yeah, imagine a Beowulf cluster of small aubergines! Does it support Ogg, though?

I'd buy 12 in a second if it supports OGG, but if it doesn't, it's shite.

I built one which plays ogg, running on a beowulf cluster of aubergines. But I got bored with it and sold it on ebay. got $15 change after getting a new graphics card.

An aubergine's an eggplant. It's also the color of an eggplant.

Nah - it's colour is usually called "Aubergine"
I'd never even heard of an eggplant until last year - I think it must be a US thing. Or alternatively, I'm just dim - who knows? It's lunchtime anyway...

That's just one of those US/Britain differences. Like truck/lorry, elevator/lift, etc. I guess that the eggplant/aubergine must have not been popular before the 19th century. Nah - it's colour is usually called "Aubergine" I don't understand. Isn't that what I said? Or are you correcting my capitalization?

I'd never even heard of an eggplant until last year - I think it must be a US thing. You'll have to get a lot more obscure than that, Sonny Jim, if you want to veer onto a topic that hasn't been covered before. Perhaps the eggplant/aubergine thing should go in the FAQ?

The old US/English variances are fun enough, but I only recently realized that the same is true of other languages as well.
A French friend once told me that his countrymen laugh at french-canadians use of french. Also Mexican spanish is rather different to Spain spanish. I believe that the Mexican word for icecream is the Spanish word for "lard" or "fat", hmmm tasty.
I reckon it is something to do with the language crossing the atlantic.

Isolation of population / language groups. Very likely. They evolve differently. Just as dialects evolve. The average person does not really travel across the continent often enough to change speech patterns, so you still hear regional differences (i.e., New York, Southern, etc.). As the population travels more widely, the dialects are fewer and spread over a wider area.
And modern telecommunications has made some interesting changes to language as well.
