Anyone know how many Mk 1's were produced.

I've seen people quote 350, but is this the final number?

I thought it was about 400, as mine is 00359, and I was one of the last people out of the queue who ordered before they said they had some left to sell.

We originally set out to make 500 players in the first batch. Unfortunately, as many of you will be aware, we were plagued with production problems (mainly with contractors) and had to reduce the initial batch to 400 units.

Of these, we've sold about 350 players, the rest being being used for development, alpha testing, press reviews, spare parts and so forth.

The first batch of the Mark 2 player will be 1000 units. We've put in a LOT of effort to make the product foolproof to manufacture and so we hope that the vast majority of these players will be in the hands of clients very soon after the production line is set in motion.
