Better not
But they are poor animals, sitting there all day with kids throwing food and rubbish down to them. They have not much space, too...

You'd be welcome to stay here...
Might take you up on that. As a matter of fact i'm usually in the south of Germany two or three times a year, as i have a company in Tübingen not so far from Freiburg. Usually i stay at my German CEOs house, or at the Hotel Domizil in Tübingen, where there is a lovely view to the Neckar. It could be cool meeting sometime though. I'll let you know next time i'm down there.
I really miss being there. I've spend my last two summer vacations in the black forrest area, and plan on going again this year.
Cheers
Kaare

How about a text file, with single lines, like this:
z0061647 The tower on top of the hill above Freiburg
??

Till i come around with this, you can correct the spelling of Freiburg on the gallery.

Can anybody help me, with a bit of translation on the Dutch Railway Museum site. I can figure out that they have a brand new museum opening next year, but what about the old museum? Particularly, will it be open on the morning of the 9th July, when I would like to visit on the way to the meet?

I've checked the site and it says that it is closed for restaurations and enhancements. The new openingdate is "2005" (not specified further).
Maybe you can visit it when you come to the 6th Amersfoort meet!

Thanks for that, it'll be something to look forward to, now I've got to think of another activity to keep the family going, not that the wife and daughter were being other than dragged along to the museum! I don't imagine that their is much other reason for visiting Utrecht, we're spending three nights in Amsterdam and one in Delft, can anyone suggest antwhere else worth a visit for the thurday night, before moving on to Amersfoort?

For now, both spellings will work within the URLs.

Oh, Thomas.. if you want a slightly easier time of it, try grabbing the files that I use to hold the text tags. There is one of these in each subdirectory. Eg.
http://rtr.ca/europe_summer03/06_Germany/misc/INFO
These INFO files list all of the photos, in presentation sequence, with text after the filenames.
Cheers

Well, thursday night will probably be the "amsterdam night" for a bunch of people, but... Hmm... What are your interests? There's of course all of Southern Netherlands - Arnhem (with the "bridge too far" stuff), and Maastricht (slightly more developed from a culinary point of view compared to the north...)

We're in Amsterdam, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with wife and daughter, then we plan going to Delft, I'll have a look at the map and the rail links at the weekend.
I'd come thursday night, but for the three of us, friday and saturday and most of Sunday will probably be best, talking to everybody.

OK, if you are down in Delft, I suggest Madurodam (the miniature Netherlands) in Den Haag, and Den Haag in gereral. Maybe even Rotterdam (for shopping), and the impressive flood barrier works south of Rotterdam.

Silly question!
I'll be coming in either the Morgan or the 101, depending on status of installs closer to the actual date. The Pink Panther install would be the same as on the Carawagon last year, so that would be boring!

Not that long to go now, folks. Have you made your decision about whether you are going to come over, yet?
Patrick is going to be bringing some pretty impressive new toys that everyone should enjoy playing with. I've got plans to make both Saturday and Sunday full event days instead of event plus recovery (big Chinese meal on the Sunday as well). Beer has already been booked, and a few interesting things are going on in the background that I shouldn't really mention until they firm up a bit.
Should be fun! There's already a significant number of people mailing me saying they are bringing friends, so this year looks to be bigger and better than ever!
Are YOU gonna be there?

Is that Chinese lunch or evening? - I love a decent chinese, although we really took to the Indonesian food in Amsterdam and the Hague, last year.
I'm swinging the prop and pulling the chocks away on the Dragon Rapide early evening, for a particularly cheap flight back
- otherwise, as per my PM, the boxers are coming in force!

Just impatiently waiting for July to come around at this point, and to finalize my trip plans. Riding around the Swiss alps sounds real tempting at this point.
