Yeah, it's pretty frustrating at times.
It kinda reminds me of those old DOS-based ASCII games where you could see something on screen, but typing "look wall" yielded a "You see nothing out of the ordinary."

Trevor, care to shed some light? I can't quite figure it out. It appears that there are 2 items I can't find and they must be pretty important.
Maybe just a hint?

That was indeed frustrating. Some of those items are way too hard to find, especially around the bed. I was hoping for a better ending too.

Hmm... I have 3 keys, a ring, a battery, a cassette, a box, a CD case, a power cord and a piece of paper with a url.
Seems one of the keys fits the door but the knob won't turn.

Rumor has it that the extra item gets used in the next room (when it becomes available).

Finally I was able to get out of there. It was tough, though. Very well thought out game. A bit frustrating to say the least.

Is there a strange way of picking up what is in the safe?
As soon as I click on it, I find my self looking at the CD player and having not picked up anything.
If anyone else is looking for the other bits in the room PM me.

Yes, I’m idle enough that I can read a thread, but not idle enough to solve a puzzle.

Cool game but yeah very frustrating. Can't wait to see the next room. I hate the fact that you have to click in a very small area just to find certain objects.

Whew! Done it with the hints to keep clicking away, I was missing the second ring which isn't really hidden as such... you just need to keep clicking... HINT: Forget about clicking on the CD player in any kind of sequence!

Pay close attention to the video. And... the thing that got me... Don't click it until after the video has disappeared from the screen.
This must be the most annoying and frustrating flash game I've ever seen. It breaks every rule about proper game design, and not in a good way. The only person having any fun in this game is the designer, as he cackles sadistically at our frustration. This person should not be allowed anywhere near Flash or any other tool that allows you to make games. At the end, where it asks you to donate towards making another room, I want to scream out to everyone, "No, don't do it! You'll just encourage him!"

Perhaps I can feel a little less ashamed about my lack of progress then... Well, when you have to click on the EXACT RIGHT area to get what you don't know you want, it's a bit tough. I even got one hint from someone, and still couldn't find what I wanted.

Considering the super-multi-click requirement in order to get the 2nd ring to appear, my opinion is that frustration was engineered in as a *requirement* to finish the game.

OK, I think a half hour is now officially the amount of time it takes to get stuck, and frustrated. I'm missing whatever is to the right of cassette. Must be important, huh?
Hint for a wuss like me?

7 1/2 minutes using no clues from this thread. Would have been quicker but couldn't find the blimming second thingy that went in the box!
I agree with Tony on the crappy design - very annoying!

Is the guy serious about donations for another room?!?

The window must be visible.

Well, technically: the window must be made visible at least a certain # of times...

Ok, now all I need is the battery and the tape. I'm too lazy to keep trying this on my own but I'm curious what happens now. More hints please?

True. I didn't want to give away too much too quick.

Hey, who's playing the game here, me or you?
The battery and the tape are easier to find than the rod and the 2nd ring. Just keep clicking in places you haven't clicked before.

I've watched it carefully. I've seen the star. I've clicked and I've clicked

You need to click a little bit to the right, and slightly higher than the star. Careful not to click too much. Once the location of the safe is revealed, you need to click on it accurately, or it'll go away again, and you'll have to watch the movie again.

You need to click a little bit to the right, and slightly higher than the star. Yeah. That was some nice flash programming, huh? At least it was on top of a stupid puzzle.
