When I select a new playlist the player always stops playing the current song and skips to a new one from that playlist, even when it is set to shuffle and the current song is also in the new playlist.

It would be nice if the player would keep on playing the current song when that song is also in the newly selected playlist and the player is set to shuffle.

That's an interesting idea. This is similar to the concept of "Enqueuing" a playlist in WinAmp.

There are some upcoming features in 1.1 that might accomplish something similar but would require more steps. You could perform a "search by playlist" in "insert" mode. The playlist you searched for would be inserted after the currently playing song.

Not exactly what you were asking for, but close.
