Y'know, I have listened to Dave Alvin's stuff before and thought "this is pretty good!" but on the several occasions where I previously had the opportunity to go see The Blasters or DA, I *completely* screwed up. I said, "Awww, I'm tired" or "I have a headache". What a dope I was.

Well, I finally fixed this problem last night and I gotta say that it is one of those cases where reality completely outdoes fiction -- or something like that. You've maybe gone to see somebody and said "Holy [censored]! The records don't even begin to...."
