The people at the meet got 3.0a8 where the cool feature is Auto EQ. Patrick is designing RAM upgrade boards (upgrade a Mk2a to 64 MB). Paul G installed new 100GB drives and is now up to 200GB in his empegs (with 48MB RAM) 3.0a9 was released by Rob V. on his last day with Rio (but it has major database problems, not advised!!!). That's all I can think of for the major things.

Rob Voisey leaving Rio to work at an as-yet-unnamed "pro audio" company. New manager-type guy to take his place, said person likely won't hang around the BBS.

Oh right, and lots of us got more memory in our players.

There's also a v2.01 out from Amersfoort -- the only change is player support for more memory.

And I finally chose a casting company, so after the details are complete, the contract is finalized, and everything is legally solidified; the mold (tool) will go into production and we all wait 6 weeks until the first production parts are created!

Jemplode 69 was released with cool Soup features and "fast database rebuild" on the PC. My rebuilds went from like 8 minutes to under 30 seconds.
