I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but PuTTY is such a great program otherwise, I find it hard to believe that they'd screw this up too badly.

Cool. It might be enough to make me drop Teraterm.

Not that I use it a great deal these days, though.

I used it over the weekend, and it's odd that you have to enter the text "COM1" manually, but, other than that, it seems to work great. That does imply that you won't have to edit some .ini file in order to access that USB-serial adapter that decided to install itself as COM8. Also, the fact that it doesn't look like a reject from Win3.0 helps.
