I just ripped six CDs of the Hitchhiker's Guide radio show and stuffed it all in the empeg ... that plus over 2200 other mp3s and I'm now about 3 megs away from a full drive.

Anyone feel like trading a couple of 20 gig 3 1/2" (ATA) drives for a big laptop drive (30gig??)

I somehow managed to get addicted to Nestlé Aero chocolate bars while I was there. For some reason these are not sold in the US and I've been in great pain since I moved here. For years now I've been buying large quantities of them on every visit to the UK, smuggling them into the US (you are not normally allowed to bring any food items into this country) and rationing them carefully until my next visit... I'm not kidding, it's that bad!

I did a quick search online, just in case somebody started selling them here since the last time I checked... and I found quite a few! Some are imported from the UK, others from Canada. The Canadian ones seem to be a bit cheaper but they might well be different. I'm not taking any chances.

Yes, they are foamed chocolate. There are mint and orange flavour ones as well.
One of my favourites, even though generally I'm not a huge chocolate fan.

Is there anywhere i can buy oreos in bulk in the UK?? Thats one thing i have always missed from USA.. :(

Can you get Twinkies in the UK? I know they're probably very bad for you, but I brought a few back from Canada last year and they were almost all devoured before I was unpacked!! Of course, if there's a health and safety law banning them from this side of the Atlantic, then I have no idea what I'm talking about!

Back on topic, the Hitchhikers TV series is being repeated on BBC2 over the next couple of weeks in the UK starting at 11.20pm on Monday!

You can get both Oreos and Twinkies from Harvey Nick's (food hall, top floor) and a number of other department stores with imported food sections. You'll pay a fortune though! I usually get lumbered with bringing back value packs of Oreos when I have to visit the US.
