Newcomers are always welcome. This community centers around a car MP3 player that was initially released in 1999. While it hasn't been available new for a long time now, many people here continue to use them daily. Others have used ones for sale in that part of the boards.
This is our off topic area, which sees the most traffic these days. As long as you aren't disruptive to the community, you are more then welcome to stay.

Aden, you must be the youngest member here! Welcome aboard. Do you know anything about the Empeg (the reason that this board exists)? I thought it was going to revolutionise car audio but it didn't really, it was however way ahead of anything else in terms of using ARM processors and cut down Linux OS for a consumer device: http://www.empeg.com/I never owned one but did end up buying a few Rio Karmas, developed by the same team

I have circa 20K posts on other forums. Don't feel any need to compete with the core group here on post count!

And not actually interested in empeg, I'd guess. Agreed. The OP text stinks of spam. The grammar is pretty good, though, but hey- Pool supplies!!edit- Now having read all of "Aden's" contributions to the BBS... yah, if he were on my honda board I would delete the account and ban the IP. I just don't have time for this tripe. We've worked out a few good test questions for new registrants that have significantly cut down the spam.

The pool supplies ad in his signature is pretty new. At first, I too was very suspicious, but his account cleared the spam background checks I did.
They crossed the line though and the account is now banned. Most of the posts have also been deleted.

Yikes! Yeah, I won't say I didn't think he was legit, but I didn't see that stuff about the pool supplies. Once he posted more, though, I was less confident. Bizarre that this would be an effective marketing strategy for something like pool supplies, though *edit* And I'd just like to say: bravo to Tom for administrating on the road

Indeed! Kudos for Tom!
Doubtful that the pool supplies site was legit. Never click on spam!

Damn, I don't read a thread for a few days and I miss everything. What happened? And I'd just like to say: bravo to Tom for administrating on the road Tom's motorcycle is sort of like the tardis. Once you sit on it, it's like you're sitting at the console of a high end security firm. 30 (or was it 40?) screens, satellite uplinks, anti-terrorism measures and miles and miles of ethernet cable. And that's just in the bathroom.
