Wow. I played that years ago. I never did finish the first game though, got stuck in this boat for some reason.

Yeah, I played that for like 5 minutes before realising that it was a NES Manic Mansion rip off. Manic Mansion was still a friggin great (hard) game. Then, there was "Day of the Tenticle". THAT was some game. Too bad it was so hard. Switching players throughout history WAS a cool concept though.

Then there was this OLD SCHOOL Apple IIgs game that seemed like Hugo's House of Horrors. I'm pulling back like 15 years in my memory for this game.... It was not an adventure game, it was a platform kinda game. Taken one screen at a time. But it sure looked like some of the scenes from Hugo. Weird...

Oh, and on SUPER old game references, pulling back in my memory like to 1987 when I first got my Tandy 3000HL, I remember reading in a catalog about this game called "If It Moves, Shoot It." It looked so cool and with a title like that, who could pass it up. Has anyone ever ever ever even heard of that game?

Ah, nostalgia.

My first computer was a Tandy 1000EX with 256kb RAM (upgradable to a roomy 640k!) and a 360k 5.25" floppy drive. I eventually got addicted to the Sierra *.Quest games, but the first game I was ever addicted to was Starflight. Simply an amazing game for its time. To this day I've never found a game that approaches its combination of action, adventure, and RPG aspects. A few years ago I started playing it again on an emulator and it was still more engrossing than any modern games I've played. I just think the days are gone when a programming team can spend several years on a game and get it exactly right.

What?!? You mean it wasn't obvious that you had to put the hamster into the freezer?

Manic Mansion was out on the PC as well. It's actually hidden (sort of) in Day Of The Tentacle as a subgame.

I wouldn't call you weird... eccentric, unique, borderline peculiar, but never weird....

As someone I saw the play with in London said: "stuff like this gives you character". I replied "It would make me a character, except that I already am one."

Manic Mansion? Damn, people just foreget every classic game. The game is called MANIAC MANSION. I played and finished it for the Commodore 64.

On the airplane... Trying to put the hamster into the microwave near the cockpit... Egg worked much better.

It was a Lucas Arts game. Good stuff. When I clicked on the link for that Hugo game and saw the screen shot I immediately thought - hey, that looks like the opening of MM!
