Well it finally happened. MY friends have been telling me to make back up copies of my games and DVD's for a while now and of course I've ignored them until now. Fast forward to last night. Had some friends over and after a few beers one buddy accidently scratched my favorite DVD. It took me a while to find it when I bought it and now I have to find another copy.
I think it is time I start listening to my friends. So this brings up the inevitable question.....what is a good back up software for DVD's and games if possible. I know of DVD X Copy but do not know much about it and if it is good or not. I want to be able to make perfect copies of my movies, though I do not mind if I can not get all the extras(I never really watch them) on the back up. Is there something out there that is :
a.) better
b.) cheaper

than DVD X Copy?

I like DVDShrink. For most movies you will have to compress the video to fit it onto one DVD-R though.

for doing perfect images of games (EDIT: not just games. whats its known for is being able to make perfect images, including the intentional errors thrown on discs these days so they wont copy right.) the best out right now is Alcohol 120%
