So, here's another photography post for the experts in here.
What do you guys think about the lens in subject?

What impresses me is that, in spite of being a white one / red circle one, it reaches 300mm and it is still only 14cm long. Basically, it promises excellent quality and still you can put it in your bag and carry it with you easily. My 24-70 is only a little shorter, and I carry it around quite easily.

Also, I am reading great reviews on-line.

This is the best I could do on the night of the lunar eclipse:

I would have LOVED to get a bigger image of the moon. I am really temped by a big zoom (of course not only for these kind of shots).

Hmmmm 300mm with no IS. Not sure if that would interest me as you'd have to add the weight of a tripod every time you wanted to use it.

I guess it's not aimed at the likes of me, great for wildlife etc....

Cheers

Really, hmmm must have missed that on the spec.

I've recently swapped from zooms to primes and can really see the difference in my work, so personally I'd avoid a jack off trades lens like this for the sort of work I do. How ever I do like the fact it's so compact!!! I expect it would make a perfect travel lens.

Cheers

Thanks for the link, Cris. That's an excellent review the 70-300 got.

The point is exactly that, as far as I am concerned. Compared to a 70-300 DO lens, this supposedly has a significnalty better img quality, and it still is compact enough.

Personally, I doubt I'd ever carry around a 70-200 .
