I need a SCSI adapter for a notebook tomorrow (or today if possible). I don't really buy much online (except my empeg of course), so I was wondering if anyone could tell me where a good place to look would be.

CompUSA

They may also carry a PCMCIA version (above is CardBus) and I think they also have a USB DB25 SCSI-II adapter.

Thanks, unfortunately CompUSA can't ship it overnight, so we're going to miss our deadline.

I'm working with a SCSI scanner that we have to ship tomorrow so that it arrives at the customer's sight on time. I can't talk to it with my laptop yet, so I'll be hooking it all up in a hotel room for the first time the night before the demonstration. Oh Joy!

Of course, this should have been taken care of weeks ago, but not my call.

If PC Connection has it in stock, they can ship overnight via Airborn.

I think they have actual physical stores that you can go to.

(If there's not a CompUSA near you, I'm sure there's at least SOMETHING like a Fry's or some other big computer store. Surely they have telephone books at your office. Remember those? Big paper tomes full of phone numbers, categorized so that you could, for example, turn to "C" to find *gasp* COMPUTER STORES...)

Yea, we've already checked all the brick and morter places. CompUSA only has them for order.

I acutally just found out that we can overnight directly from Adaptec but were hesitating because it will cost an extra $20 (and we're talking about supporting a $6,000 scanner). Now it's probably too late to get it by tomorrow, though we might have been able to if we'd ordered earlier. This is the pain of working on a government contract.

Didn't those places all get blown down in the last hurricaine?
