Totally off topic, but...

Let's go Race Karting in Davis! We need 3 more people to make a total of 6! http://www.racekartsinc.com/

I was able to negotiate a great deal for a specific day. If we can mobilize to go karting on December 17th - that's a week from this Wednesday, we can do it for $325.00 each. If it rains, we'd have to re-schedule. We need a minimum of 6 people for this price, and the price doesn't get any decrease until after 12 people, but I'm hoping to keep the group pretty small for max track time.

There are some requirements from a height and weight standpoint also. You need to be between 5' tall and 6'4" and not more than 250 lbs. If you are close and concerned, you can call her and give her your specific dimensions and she can try to accommodate you in some way. She said that she can sometimes modify a seat a bit to fit people that are close to the edges.

She asked if I could coordinate the money and the people for this, so that she doesn't have to deal with each person.

Ahh. Man I'd love to do that, but there is no way I could come up with the money. :/
I've done something like that before a while back, it's a blast.

Sorry you won't make it Ricin. We now have 4, we just need 2!!! Come on, let's see what all that "Daytona Racing" video game playing has done for your driving skillz!

I'd be there if it weren't on a weekday.

Yeah, I looked into a weekend, but we wouldn't have full run of the track if we did it then... and if we did secure the whole track on the weekend, it would probably be a lot more expensive...

I'm just taking a day off to do it.

Ok, so Wednesday is supposed to be 70+ degrees. We were able to secure the track for a full day of racing and instruction with only FOUR of us.

Problem is, we just had a guy cancel. We are now in danger of NOT going. Anyone step in and save the day here? 4 karts, a full awesome outdoor track, and the instructor. Davis.

Come on, take a day off, pony up the 375.00 and go!!!

Anyone?

If I didn't happen to be 2500 miles away and stuck at work during a mayoral change I'd be there. As things are, however.....
