Is anyone out here NOT planning on using their discount? Can I have it? Send me a note, let's work something out. :)

I can see it now -- low spots in the Mk II queue on eBay!

This is very much against the spirit of the offer. Nonetheless, we can't stop you from doing it, but:

a) We'll only sell to the original client, he'd have to buy the player on your behalf and sell it on to you...

b) ...UNLESS you both lie and say that you bought the Mark 1 second hand, but then the original client will lose technical support and warranty.

c) I now know what you're doing, and I'm responsible for the sales process *grin*

But didn't I read somwhere that if you recieved a letter from the original owner stating that he was transfering the discount over, the person could then buy it himself, without having to go back through the original owner

Yes, that was my point (b).

If the original owner has sold their player, they can transfer the discount to the new owner. If they still have their player they can't transfer their discount to anyone, so they would both have to lie.

I have to agree. You guys obviously work very hard, and on the side you participate to make the public happy. Surely this kind of effort has got to cost you more than just money.

Come on people. If we expect to continue to receive this friendly support from the empeg people, we have to reasonable on our side as well. Don't cheap out. Give the empeg guys some credit for all their hard work and pay them what's due!

Now don't get me wrong, I've a tendancy to short change in places too, but often in times where I feel I'm getting short changed by the company in question. The empeg guys are far superior to the bulk automaton companies out there. I make it a point to pay in full for the products that truely make a difference for me. I'm sure the empeg would fall in that category (if only I could get my hands on one! )

Hell, these guys deserve our support to keep them going.

P.S. Is my nose brown yet? Not my intentions though...

That's just rob being a meanie. ;) *cough*

Well, the way I figured, it's worth a try even if nothing becomes of it, since I'm going to buy an empeg regardless.
