FS: MkI or MkII w/ everything. (Mk 2 New/in box) - 06/04/2003 20:13

Hi everyone. I have the #257 (24GB) Mark 1 I used until recently, when I
switched to a 20GB Mark 2 so I could use the Ethernet jack it offers. I had
bought a third unit, a 30GB Mark II, as a backup in case one of the others was
wrecked/stolen. I only really need one backup, so I'm going to put the other one
up here and see what happens. I will sell one or the other, but not both. Thank
you for your patience with this post, particularly as I may decide to retain them if
there isn't sufficient interest.

The Mark I is #257, blue face, with an original 6GB and added-on 18GB second
drive. I have the drive, sled, remote, orignal box, cables and power adapter.
I believe it has 2.0b11 firmware installed, and is in good working order.

The Mark II is a 30GB blue model, powered on once to test functionality before
the warranty expired. It's new, in the box, with everything that came with it.
Here's the kicker though -- it has

1. The 4 color replacement face pack.
2. Original tuner, and
3. the black canvas "Empeg" carrying case/bag.

I won't be posting this on eBay if it doesn't sell. Let me know what you
think about this, and thank you again. -Gary

Greetings!

Do you have any prices in mind for these?

I am looking for the black canvas Empeg carrying case/bag so if you would part with that separately I would be very appreciative. ;-)

Hi.

I would be interested in the MkII. Don't really need, but would buy and re-sell:
- Tuner
- color lens kit
- black empeg bag
Let me know if you have any particular price in mind. I don't. I could really use a backup unit (have one installed permanently in living room, one for office&driving.

Might be interested in the tuner, pending a price. The new Empeg and the money needed to upgrade the truck stereo set me back a bit...

And what color were the lenses again?

Ugh. I really should have thought my way through this before posting, and
in particular I should have just listed a price for each thing. My apologies to
everyone on the confusion.

Let me set some prices and then you can tell me if I am nuts.

Mark 2 30GB Empeg -- best offer over $599 USD plus shipping.
The original tuner -- best offer over $150 USD plus shipping.
The four color bezel kit -- I'll keep the red one and put the other three in
with the Mark 2.
The bag -- best offer, but I'm going to offer it to the guy who is posting a
WTB at the moment.

THese prices seem fair, as they recover the original expense but are less then
I saw for similar sales on eBay, since we are all die-hard Empeg-heads, and
I'll be saving the eBay commision. Please let me know what you think, and
thank you for your time. -Gary

I would be interested in the complete set.
(MK2-Player, Lenses, bag, tuner)

The Player I'll use it as my backup unit.
I could use the accessories very well for my current player.

I'm able to pay you 700 USD.

Did some more research, decided to wait on selling this, vs. keeping it as
a backup. Sorry for pulling the offer. I am going to sell the bag to the lady who
wanted it. -Gary
