Tony was right all along

About people being silly over post counts and totals.

I know, because sometime yesterday I spotted that I was closing in on 1,000 posts. Try as I might I haven't managed to resist posting my arse off since then. Very silly.

Thankfully this is post number 1,000 so you guys will get some peace and quiet again soon.

See, Tony is always right !

Still, at least we had a fun discussion about SUVs, of all things.

Name your price! I'll buy 800 posts at any reasonable price!

But your 1,000 postings just back the point that this is one of the most diverse, and consistently engrossing of all BBS's, I look at others that interest me, and they are just backwaters compared.

I got 789 posts just sitting there in my locked user account. I would let them go for a reasonable amount. Of course, we'd have to get Tony or Drak to move them over to you and pay them a transfer fee. Or we could leave them where they are and I'll just let you claim that they're yours. It's up to you.

How do we know they are really yours anyway ? For all we know you could be an imposter.

Where have you put the real Yz33d !!

You may have been posting like crazy, but you at least contributed to the discussions. That's more than,"here's another post to increase my post count!"

I'd like to take this time to publicly appologize for passing Hugo in number of posts. I feel really bad about it, especially when the percentage of usefull posts in his account is probably something like 98%, whereas mine is probably closer to 2% I'd like to think I had one or two good posts somewhere back there... :P

Speaking of contributing to discussions and ``What have you done with the real d33zY'', what's the deal with d33zY being contributive and non-inflammatory lately?

Keep it up!

Perhaps he should add a couple of new questions to the FAQ.

Q: Is Tony always right ?
A: Pretty much, yes.

Q: Is Hugo always right ?
A: Is the Pope Catholic ?

Keep in mind the transition to the green color is not automatic, and actually will never be. I prefer to keep it a manual process to discourage the use of junk posts to gain post counts. I haven't seen too many since I brought the titles back, but they do exist.

Don't expect new green titles anytime soon, I'm on a buisness trip, and catching up on the board is hard enough right now with 800-900 new posts.

Aw, c'mon, if I can read from my Treo 300 (even though I can't post) how bad could it be? ;-)

Aww... the personal touch. Just another example of what makes this board so special.
