What if

What if - 01/02/2003 01:28

What if there were people living underground totally cut off from the outside world. If there was fresh air going down into huge caves and fish swimming in underground rivers and lakes, then I guess it could happen. One day we would be exploring and we would just stumble across this civilization that has been there for thousands of years. I would just be like holy shit. I wish it would happen. It would make great tv, but for now it could be a good science fiction novel.

Re: What if - 01/02/2003 01:53

there was some crap tv-movie that came on like, 6 or 7 years ago here. Man did it suck ass. It was about this crew of 5 or 6 that used some ridiculous drill-type craft to go hundreds of feet underground. The vessel they were in resembled that thing Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles cruised around in (not the Tecnodrome). So they meet some weird lookin' dudes and mayhem ensues. boy am i stoned.

anyone remember that???

yeah the technodrome was in dimension X. I remember that movie that stole the underground-drill-vehicle idea from ninja turtles. I've only seen bits and pieces of it but maybe that's why i thought of it.

What do y'all think about UFO's? Very strange lights in the sky have been identified before. So UFO's definitely exist. Whether they are aliens, secret government aircraft, or just natural phenomenon I don't know. If I were betting, I would bet on natural phenomenon, like the northern lights or marfa lights. And then there's the case about the cows being surgically mutilated in the middle of the night in the southwest US.

You don't know what you're missing, man. tv kicks ass. Watch Joe millionaire or american idol. Or I could watch a Cops marathon for hours. Sure there are other things than tv like exercise, social interaction, path to enlightenment, etc., but tv is great. It's like injecting books into your vein and directly to your brain. And then there is the internet, our generation's narcotic.

ill give you the internet quip, but tv is bad. nothing at all like injecting books into our veins. i just picked up a copy of crime and punishment the other day. they just dont make them like they used to.

There are issues of health here too. Sunlight gives us Vitamin E in some forms which we need for our skin. Strange things happen to the human body when not exposed to sunlight for long periods of time.

Yzeed / deezy, you really need to read some more books; and get some interlectual friends with whom you can discuss these ponderings. Try a library.
