A Better Task Manager?

I'm trying to do some things that require me to know what is running in the background. Is there anything that will give me a more detailed rundown of open applications? The processes tab of the task manager is quite lacking in information, and I'd rather not go through and search for every open file to know what application is using it.

Process Explorer maybe..?.
