Because apparently, you've been doing it the unsafe way. Thus, you need this product for the safer way to partially split hot dogs.

Hahahhahaha.

I am LMAO. Not because of the product itself, but because of the irony - last month, my brother asked me to order two of them for his wife for Christmas. (He asks me to do it so he could keep it secret...) I did not ask, I just ordered them. There are some things I just don't want to know...

Re: disturbing - 12/12/2003 09:58

The hotdog is among the top ten items found in many lists concerning choking occurrences in young children. Pediatricians recommend slicing a hotdog linearly. The method of slicing a hotdog linearly can reduce the chances of choking during consumption.
Okay, that's reasonable.

Until you consider that they only cut about two third of the frankfurter. Apparently, the risk goes down for one of the ends. Make sure you insert the proper end or the risk of choking will not abate!

And if the partial-slicing argument weren't ridiculous enough, one has to wonder if simply not feeding the little rugrats weiners might save a few lives (short- and long-term). But wait, maybe Jolene's Trailer Park is overrun with minors.
