Mad Dash for Santa's Stash - 14/12/2003 11:46
Another "geocache" -- the locals are pretty looney about them..
So.. perk up thy ears, and identify
these ten tunes.
(thanks!)

Aside from the McKenzie Brothers (3 french toasts, 2 turtlenecks, and a beer....) I didn't know any of them.

Geez, if Mark doesn't know that one, he needs to renounce his Canadian citizenship, eh.

Okay, I think I've got 9/10 on my own, but that last one (the tenth on the mp3) is a real stinker..

Alan Doyle from Great Big Sea sings "The Seven Joys of Mary" (The first good joy that Mary had, It was the joy of one)
I think that the Barenaked Ladies sing "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" (Oh tidings of comfort and joy). Not sure of that one though...
Can't identify anything alse...

Well, the last one is "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". I am not sure who did that version, though. I know that the Whirling Dervishes did one a little while back, but it does not sound like them.

Yup, got it.
Took a CD of the full length versions of those tunes, left a Worms CD in place.
Off for now..
Thanks all!

Ah...I thought you were looking for the artist too. The first one and the third one are definitely Harry Connick, Jr.. As for the others, I know 2, 5 and 7 are NOT Trans-siberian Orchestra, but I don't know who they are.
