Internet Explorer not downloading images?

Anyone seen this problem before?

Internet Explorer on Windows XP often doesn't bother downloading the images in a webpage and just leaves the "broken image" icon there.

It's fairly consistently the smaller images in the page (like spacers and stuff) and on a particular page, it seems to be the same images that are always broken.

If I right-click and hit "Show Picture", it sorts itself out.

Any ideas?

ive seen it before and, like you, ive always right clicked and show picture(d?)
i havent a clue why it does that though. gets rather annoying

I've had it happen too, in Opera & IE, no idea why though

It is something that MSFT broke in a hot fix about a year ago. I'm wondering if they will ever bother fixing it.
