HHAHAHAHAHA! Too funny!!! Pity it is in the UK, or I might have bid... Even then, it might be worth it for a laugh... Perhaps those in the general area might fancy a catered empeg mini-meet?

If we promise to have a catered wedding in Ohio next year, will you come?

And who would you suggest get married?

I dunno. I'm sort of sad that I didn't have a real wedding, but I haven't managed to bring my wife along so far, so I can't see that next year is likely to be different.

Oh, ok. I was just afraid that you were going to expect me to be the one to get married

I wasn't planning to recruit a couple until Paul committed to come

Well, surely the mention of a wedding will get him to come down

We should think about a scottish meet - last count I think there were 6 of us (maybe 7) and that seems like enough of an excuse to drive somewhere for food, drinks, chat, showing off techy gear etc....looking at the weather outside now I'm not immediately motivated, but it always gets better, doesn't it:-)

Leave it 'till May, and I'll join you in my motorhome.
Nepalese meal in Edinburgh seems spot on, with a few pints after.
By the by, the only other Nepalese reataurant I know of is the Gurka in Winchester. I eat there saturday night and it's not a patch on the Edinburgh one.

Sounds like a great idea - the Khukhuri used to be my Friday night haunt - even now I get food from there at least twice a month (and I live 20 miles away...it is that good!)

I'll have a think of possible ideas and post a poll regarding dates and activities. May certainly sounds like a good starting point. Would be good to meet some of the faces - I have been very crap about getting to Amersfoort (ie I have never made it!)

Now that's where you make your great mistake, it's come to be a high point in the Boxer family year and such is the organisational greatness of Rob that, without doubt, in many years time, when he comes to face the maker, he'll do it still clutching his clip board!

There is another one near us in Reigate:

been there once, seemed pretty good. No idea how Nepalese it was, being as it is the only Nepalese food I have ever eaten...

Ah, now that's the difficulty, I'm only one ahead: The Winchester one was an Indian under another name, trading under the aegis of Winchester being the Gurka base and having the Gurka museum. The Khukuri had loads of similar to Indian things, but also some really memorable and different dishes.
My only point would be that you need a torch to read the menu!

They really should rename the Reigate place "Lentils-r-Us"...

(not sure there was a non-lentil dish on the menu)

Just to get back to the auction for a sec.... this is now at £10M - um.... is the seller liable for the final % fee? Will he have to go through the non-paying bidder routine? I often wonder this when I see obviously daft auctions.

A Scottish meet sounds like fun! Count me in!
