"The Mother of MP3?" - 24/09/2008 03:00
I found this blog post by Suzanne Vega on the NYT's "Measure for Measure" blog to be quite a fascinating read. I was aware of some of the history behind Tom's Diner and DNA's cover of it, but never knew about Vega's connection to the development of the MP3 algorithm at Fraunhofer.
I always enjoy it when artists talk about the stories behind the songs, and I thought the MP3 angle might interest some folks here.
