Looking for a keychain sort of like this one - 18/05/2009 21:49

SWMBO has a keychain similar to the one pictured here, except hers is a bit bigger, and has six or eight key attachment points instead of just the three. It looks sort of like a stringless yo-yo, with a wide spot in the slot where the key attachment doohickeys [technical term] can be inserted and removed, and some sort of locking mechanism (now broken and lost, which is why I am posting this) that keeps the doohickeys from falling out.

Anybody know where I might find another one of these? She really likes hers and wants a replacement. The one pictured here might be made to work, except that the minimum quantity is 50 units, plus a $75 setup charge for custom engraving.

My brother just got something like that. I'll ask him...

edit:
He found his for about $6 at Sports Chalet (a sporting goods store), but couldn't remember the brand.
He points out that Amazon has several to offer with the search for detachable key ring and thinks he'll opt for this one when his breaks.

Ah. The magic word is "detachable". I couldn't think of any way to narrow the search when I was looking.

The Amazon reviews on the inexpensive ones convinced me to not waste my money, so I went with this one. Thank you for the search fu.

Was too late to the party, but was going to chip in with the one I use, which I think was £5 from Next, and is beautifully made in solid chunky metal. I love it as I do tend to take different keys with me depending on what the day holds.
