The company I work for was just purchased by NorthgateArinso. Since some of you are located in UK I thought I'd ask for opinions on this company.

From an employee standpoint, is this a good company?

Me neither, although their client list has quite a few 'big' names.

They have a software development centre in Belfast, and I worked on a systems integration project along with some of their people a few years back, for the local electricity generator/supplier.

But apart from that, I really don't know much about them, sorry.

(Assuming they are the same Northgate!)

Northgate do a lot of payroll, managed IT/backup systems etc.

Probably best known for putting their HQ next to one of the UK's biggest fuel storage depots:

I read that at Wiki. That's got to suck when your company blows up.

I guess they finally got their settlement and went shopping for companies.

Hopefully their revenue stream is more than insurance based.

Hanging around next to a massive fuel storage depot isn't a great idea anyway even if it doesn't turn into a giant fireball that decimates the area.
