Looking for IEC power cord with 90 degree at both ends

Looking for IEC power cord with 90 degree at both ends - 21/05/2010 22:14

Argh! So it turns out that the recessed connection box I bought to put behind my TV still isn't deep enough to accommodate the plug end of an IEC power cord. With my low profile mount it ends up pushing against the TV. The appliance end of a typical cord also sticks out too far beyond the back of the TV.

So I need to find an IEC power cord with angled connectors on both ends, the power and the appliance end. I have one with a 90 degree bend appliance end and online I've found 90 degree right and left as well as rotating power ends. BUt I haven't been able to find anything with both. I suppose if I ultimately had to I could do some cord surgery, but I'd rather not.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Ideally I'd love it to be about 3 feet long, but I can make due with 6 feet if I have to.

IEC C13 to NEMA 5-15? Here, or here, if you feel like your wallet's too thick. I'm sure you can find something at a Canadian supplier.

Can't say I found those when looking. Unfortunately the first one won't work because the angle sends the cord downward on the power end. I wish there were a better picture of the second one as I'm not sure there's enough room in my box for the angle to the right - might need the power end to angle to the left.

You could invert the power socket.

Neither up nor down will work. smile It has to be to the side to avoid collision with the other socket or the edge of the enclosure.

I've purchased a cord that has a mains end that can rotate 360 degrees. I'll rewire it (to the 90 degree IEC end I already have)
