grrr... Strange forum posting removes carriage returns. WTF?

I have a very strange problem.

In this post, you see nice carriage returns in this text.


As many as I like! See?

But on one particular forum- and when posting from one particular machine- all of my carriage returns are removed from my text when the post is submitted.

I'm using Firefox with a few different ad-ons and adjustments. I've never run into this problem before, though. I can't seem to find any information on it, either.

Any carriage returns (mine or the quoted text) are removed and this results in a crap format that is painful to read.

Help me, empeg-wan kenobi, you're my only hope!

This post led me to look at NoScript and I found a setting there for that forum. They've been making changes to the forum software and apparently to their server setup as well. NoScript needed the ok for another source on that page.
