Outlook 2010 PST to Thunderbird Import/Conversion?

Does anyone know if there is a way possible to take a PST file from Outlook 2010 and get it to import into Thunderbird? I have searched/tried/searched/tried and searched and tried over and over without success. I have used several programs that promise to do so, but don't. I know there is an import function in Thunderbird, but it doesn't work for me.

It is the last thing I need to do to get rid of MS Office completely off my system. Any and all help would be appreciated as I know y'all are much smarter than I am!

I recall I did this using the Import function in Seamonkey (a cousin of Thunderbird) and it worked. The mbox format is the same, so you can use Thunderbird after, although I like Seamonkey better.

Also, you can create an imap account and synch the pst to that, then access everything with Thunderbird. If you want mbox, you'd have to create another account with Tbird and copy everything over to that.

I've generally gone the other way, from Google and Thunderbird back to Outlook.

For some real fun, try going from Windows Mail to Outlook (or anything else). Spoiler alert: it's garbage!

I recently did a Windows Live to PST conversion. Ick!

Google to MS365 wasn't that straightforward either
