Damn. My corporation blocks the site! I will have to try it later.

Meanwhile...

I am an Asteroid.
I am a drifter. I go where life leads, which makes me usually a very calm and content sort of person. That or thoroughly apathetic. Usually I keep on doing whatever I'm doing, and it takes something special to make me change my mind.

What Video Game Character Are You?

...or...

Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.

I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain.

What Flavour Are You?

Yes, things are slow today in monolithic corporate america...

Edit: okay... I cannot get the image tags correct.

Tags are correct. It's just that the BBS doesn't know how to tag PNGs. It only likes JPGs and GIFs.

What is with woman and horses?

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:10

I don't know. I even asked to be a male creature I do love horses and used to own one and I do love flying so Peagus was a good choice for me.

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:11

What is with women and horses?

I have posed this question to certain women, and the answer has been that it's about power and control.

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:12

Horses are phallic symbols.

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:13

LOL. That's it!

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:16

I never had much power and control over my horse. His nickname became Piglet because he was stubborn but he was a gentle soul, only broke a couple of my toes by stepping on me.

Maybe it's the power and control they have over us. Gets us ready for our husbands

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:17

Especially when they're white, fluffy, with wings? And what's the deal with My Little Pony? :-D Early indoctrination?

Re: My true nature - 03/07/2002 15:37

Well, horses are more specifically usually symbols of repressed sexuality, probably because of the fact that you're trying to control them, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. And let's not forget their obvious musculature and power. Not to mention that they fit between your legs. In mythology it gets even worse, when unicorns carry a giant phallus on their foreheads and can only be ridden by virgins. Pegasus isn't quite as good, though, although flying is often seen as a symbol of sexual desire.

And I'm guessing that My Little Pony is just an experiment in marketing, just like every other kid product made past 1985.

Greetings!

Okay. This is just too twisted. First try, no tampering! *

* Note: For those of you playing at home, I am a huge (in more ways than one) SF / fantasy fan, currently Harry Potter obsessed. Yes, I admit it - I have five complete sets: US, UK, hardcover, paperback, etc., plus the US and UK audiobooks on both production empegs. So finding out that I am a hippogryph is an amusing prospect.

Hmmm - I am dragon too. I guess there just isn't a huge, flying, mythical frog, huh??

Re: My true nature - 04/07/2002 02:53

Isn't it cars that are phallic symbols?? I've never seen a horse that looked like my penis. Come to think of it I'd feel kind of weird if my penis looked like a car too. Maybe I'll just shut up now
Posted by: wfaulk

Re: My true nature - 04/07/2002 02:58

Many things can be phallic symbols. Some are more obvious than others.

Re: My true nature - 04/07/2002 04:22

Re: My true nature - 08/07/2002 11:30

Has anyone come up with the proper word/concept for the female version of the word "phallic" ? Or does it not exist?

Calvin

Re: My true nature - 08/07/2002 12:00

It's ``yonic''.

This is a word most often used to describe the works of Georgia O'Keefe, AFAICT. (Does it disturb anyone else that she often combined this yonic imagery with bleached bones?)
