An idea I can't shake or create...

I've thought for a long time that it would be cool if someone could make an adaptor that slid into the sled that had fixed connectors for network, serial, rca, etc... Unfortunately I just don't have the time to play with it or the expertise to just do it. I envisioned a piece of plastic much like a lense with the connectors fused/glued to it. The idea would be to make it where you literally dropped it into the sled ,screwed it in through the installation screw hole (the one in the back of the sled that most of us don't use), connect the wires to the adaptor and you'd have and instant docking station. It would also be useful in hacking non empeg sleds into usable sleds. Anyone?

Ohh.. I also played with the idea of a formed caste... like creating a mock up of the empeg back, connecting the wires and then pouring in some sort of plastic.

So have you built one yet?

I think I'll just stick with my docks.. no sled required!

No, but I'm getting a little closer... Mark is right his docks are most cool. Mine is in the mail and somehow I think his design may inspire me. However I dropped my empeg yesterday and broke the nipple, so I'm a bit distracted in my grief.

Right... I'm thinking seriously about buying a pelican case as my empeg was in a soft case when I dropped it on a carpeted floor.
