I actually picked one up yesterday. It was at one of the CompUSA stored that dbrashear reported to have 8 each. Well I had a hard time finding it, because they almost hid the whole stack of 7 of 'em in a corner.

They are larger and heavier than I expected. Not really ultraportable. Internal powersupply. It looks like it is probably a generic enclosure that can fit pretty much any 3.5 or 5.25 size IDE drive. There is a 3.5" 40GB Samsung drive in it.

I grabbed the cheapest USB2.0 cardbus card I could find while I was at it. Compusa branded, but it uses the bog standard NEC chipset. Both the pccard and the drive worked with linux, some problems with the latest dev kernels, but I managed to copy a bunch of files back and forth.
