I'm interested in replacing the stock car head unit with smething bigger better and louder :-) but if you want to keep the original one, there are many aux-in interfaces! You can look to our italian forum at Alfa 147 Virtual Club http://www.147virtualclub.it/forum/ in "Hi-Fi & Car Aufio" section, you can find many threads discusing aux-in interfaces and ipod interfaces...

Edit: I'm trying to remember some manufacturer... one of the most important is Bortesi www.bortesi.it they have on its site aux-in & ipod interface for the original Alfa car stereo... you can email to bortesi (at) bortesi (dot) it for info.
